TOKYO, December 1 – The 36th Plenary Meeting of the 5G Alliance for Connected Industries and Automation (5G-ACIA) commenced today. During the board election held on the opening day, AILINK secured a position on the board with the second-highest number of votes, trailing the top candidate by a mere two votes. This achievement is attributed to AILINK's profound understanding of industrial environments and its leading capabilities in large-scale deployment.

Notably, AILINK is the first startup company to join the 5G-ACIA Board. Its chief representative, Dr. Liu Yang, has also become the sole board member from Mainland China. Despite being founded just five years ago, AILINK has established significant influence within the international industrial 5G domain. This election signifies that AILINK is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of global industrial 5G.

5G-ACIA, initiated by the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (ZVEI), is a core global forum for industrial 5G. Its research outputs are directly contributed to standardization bodies such as 3GPP and IEC, influencing the development of international industrial 5G standards. The 5G-ACIA Board has long been dominated by global industrial giants like Siemens, ABB, Rockwell Automation, Phoenix Contact, and Bosch. Its primary functions include planning and guiding the alliance's strategic direction, making authoritative decisions on key technical pathways, and providing forward-looking guidance for the organization's sustainable development. AILINK's inclusion not only marks the first time a startup has entered the core echelon of the international industrial 5G ecosystem but also highlights the global influence of China's innovation in industrial 5G applications.

Since 2022, AILINK has actively participated in technical discussions across multiple 5G-ACIA working groups, contributing deeply to the drafting of several key projects. In September 2024, AILINK's proposed "5G Industrial Cellular System for Centralized PLC and NB-IoT Services" became the first testbed to achieve bilateral certification between 5G-ACIA and the Alliance of Industrial Internet (AII). In June 2025, the first joint white paper between 5G-ACIA and AII, "Industrial 5G-Advanced Technology Evolution and Typical Applications," co-reported by AILINK, was successfully approved. To date, AILINK has participated in drafting over 10 significant projects, with multiple technical contributions incorporated into published 5G-ACIA white papers, laying a solid foundation for this board election.

AILINK's industrial 5G private network products and solutions already serve over 100 global leading clients, including Schneider Electric and NIO, with proven commercial deployment cases across various industries. As a board member, AILINK will directly participate in major decision-making and organizational management within 5G-ACIA. It will play a key role in industrial 5G standardization and ecosystem development, promoting the deep integration of industrial 5G technology with real-world application scenarios. AILINK is committed to providing globally competitive industrial 5G solutions for manufacturing, mining, ports, energy, industrial parks, and other sectors worldwide.
